In art class, the project we had to do was called the border project. We had to make nine squares and put some kind of logo in it. For mine I made a cursive N right in the middle of each square. To be honest, the hardest part about this project was deciding what kind of border I wanted on them. I wanted to be creative, but make it look neat at the same time. I decided to do a variety of different things. For example, I used polka dots, snowflakes, swirls, stripes, flowers, and mountain type things. Some of my borders look the same, but I made it so they are unique and different in a certain way. To make the borders look neat, I took sharpie and outlined the dots and stripes. I even colored the cursive N with black sharpie to make that look more neat also. My favorite border is either the flowers or the green swirly that goes all through the square.
In this project I learned how to create a project that has meaning and use my emotions/feeling in each piece of the art. While making this piece, I used brighter colors because I was in a more joyful mood and to be honest I do not remember why! LOL. The borders affect the letter N because it really brings it out and makes you look at it in a different perspective. Especially if you just look at it with a blank white border. This more of a fun project because we had freedom to do what we want. Plus, I am not a real good artistic so this was a more easier project.
